This Garden of the Gods Elopement wasn’t what they had been planning the past year. Like most spring and summer 2020 couples, Ashlyn and Justin had their wedding day planned with a big celebration at their venue, but had to postpone. But even in the midst of everything going on, they decided they still wanted to get married on their original wedding date with a Garden of the Gods elopement and have their big celebration next year on their one year anniversary! How cool is that? So, not only do I get to celebrate with them once, but TWICE! They were surrounded by their closest family members to celebrate their marriage.
Not only did they have to change their wedding plans, but it POURED rain on this day. That’s supposed to be good luck, right? I had never photographed in this kind of pouring rain before, but I’d do anything for my couples and was up for the challenge. The day started out beautifully with details and getting ready photos for both the bride and groom. By the time we had arrived at Garden of the Gods, the rain came down pouring down. It had no end in sight, so they just decided to start. And If we’re being honest, the wind made for some dreamy veil photos!
Covid or POURING rain couldn’t take the joy from these two! They were just so happy and excited to be marrying their best friend and I’m so honored to be a part of it! Enjoy some of my favorites from their Garden of the Gods Elopement!!
