So, you’re engaged and planning a wedding during COVID-19? Most of the things we’ve been exposed to during this time has caused panic and anxiety, especially when it comes to your wedding. But, I’m not going to contribute to that!
I just want to be clear, this is not me being ignorant or naive in any way! I have stayed informed and know how hard and scary all of this is!
But I also believe that you can be informed AND stay positive!
I know planning a wedding is stressful enough already without a pandemic, and no bride should have to go through this. But for those that are, I promise, you’ll be just fine. In fact, I’m writing this because I can see a LOT of ways you could use this time to your advantage and make a good amount of progress on your big day.
Here’s how!
1. Vendor Offerings and Deals
This is a big one. You probably set a budget at the beginning of your wedding planning. Even though it’s been a stressful and anxiety-induced few weeks, I highly recommend taking advantage of any offerings through your vendors! We are all here for you and will do everything in our power to make sure things come together perfectly for you. Whether it’s a discount off of wedding packages (which NEVER happens) or offers or services, you wouldn’t receive, now is the perfect time to jump on these, they won’t last long!!
2. Time to Plan
Normally, one of the hardest parts of planning a wedding is TIME. You might find during this quarantine period that you have more time than you normally would. This is the perfect time to make major wedding planning progress! Most venues are offering virtual tours, take advantage of that, and reach out to your dream vendors! With a lot of spring weddings getting postponed to later in 2020 or 2021, dates are booking quicker! Couples should try to keep things moving during this time, that way when this is over, they won’t be scrambling to get things done and wanting vendors who are already booked.
3. Extra Savings While Staying Home
I don’t know about you, but eating out is one of our biggest expenses, it’s a huge weakness of mine! We are still supporting the restaurant industry by doing delivery or pickup every once in awhile, but not nearly as much as we did before and are actually starting to SAVE! Whether your saving from eating out or something else you aren’t able to do at this time, take advantage of the little boost in savings and put it towards your big day!
I’m here for you if you have ANY questions or want to chat!
xoxo
