When Maddie and Dave planned their April dream wedding, they were hoping for a spring Colorado day and weren’t expecting it to be during a huge snow storm. Being a wedding photographer in Colorado, I’m always prepared for snow, rain, or shine. As much as they weren’t expecting snow, they embraced it with such grace and it shows in their dreamy photos. It would have been so easy for them to be disappointed and let the weather affect their whole day, but instead they embraced it. Snowy winter photos are so stunning! So many people plan their Colorado wedding’s for the “nicer” months, but I honestly would LOVE to do more winter weddings! The logistics are a little more tricky, especially when it gets dark so early, but goodness! They just feel and look so magical!
Maddie and Dave chose The Woodlands as their wedding venue, and if you know me, you know that’s a favorite venue of mine (and I’m also on their preferred vendor list.) They embraced the location with natural colors and elements of being outdoors in the mountains, including their mountain ceremony arch. Their outdoor style was so chic and timeless at the same time. I love being a wedding photographer in Colorado and being able to photograph such gorgeous locations. So blessed with the best couples around!
I’ve photographed many of the Woodlands barn photos, but keep scrolling to see one of my favorites at the bottom! The night sky, large flakes falling, and limo in front of the venue made it absolutely magical! Cheers to the newlyweds! Enjoy some of my favorites from their snowy and gorgeous wedding day!
